Capirossi targets win for Suzuki

Loris Capirossi is encouraged by the progress Suzuki are making and believes he will soon be able to fight for the marque's first dry weather win.

The Italian finished a strong fifth at Jerez last weekend and is confident that their winter struggles are behind them and more good results are on the way.

"We lost our way a little bit in the winter but in the end we managed to take the right route towards being competitive," he told Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I accepted Suzuki's offer because they guaranteed that they're ready to do anything to win, and the budget is virtually unlimited. It's different from Ducati here, the resources are infinitely more and it shows, they're developing modifications all the time.

"Now they are concentrating on this bike, we must win. I want to give them their first victory without rain, like I did with Ducati."
